Jon Horst Comes out Strong Against Bucks Rumors

The rumor mill is hot for the Milwaukee Bucks. We discussed this yesterday when looking at the long-term future with Jabari Parker and the head coaching search. After a Twitter fight broke out between Gery Woeffel and Alex Lasry, Horst shows some leadership skills and delivered a good message about the topics at hand. I’m sure it annoyed Horst to explain all of this stuff, but this showed a baackbone that’s been missing at times in the Bucks organization. Horst must feel confidence about the future to go on radio and explain these things.
Milwaukee could have let this thing fester and instead, they nipped it right in the bud before it got out of hand. The two more interesting things from Horst in those interviews were the comments made about Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe where Horst says the team had every intention to keep them here long term as well. I’m not sure if that’s the best idea considering the two players are not working with Giannis, and Khris is playing pre-MVP candidate James Harden defense right now. That could have been smoke among the comments about both players.
Horst being a reliable guy in the media is a good thing for the Bucks. It shows that local radio can go straight to the source and not have to guess what the front office is thinking about. I’m not exactly relieved about this whole rumor thing because it would be naive to believe everything Horst said on his radio interview.
