Just Give Lorenzo Cain The Gold Glove Now
Milwaukee Brewers centerfielder Lorenzo Cain does not have a Gold Glove. How is that possible? I do not know. I truly have zero idea how that happened in Major League Baseball. I get that we have a great deal of strong, defensive centerfielders, but how many of them are as good as Lorenzo Cain. He made another great catch in center field today running at full speed crashing into the wall to save a second run from scoring and another man being in scoring position. He is vital to Milwaukee’s defense and the Crew would be lost without him. As mentioned on the broadcast, he is the best defensive centerfielder the Brewers have had at Miller Park.

Thankfully, Cain was alright after going full steam into that wall. The way he acted in pain made me worry that he broke his collarbone (I have a bit of experience in diagnosing that one, if you know what I mean), but he waved off the trainers. Unfortunately for Cain, the Mets rookie pitcher threw in on him and hit him directly on the hand. X-rays were negative but guessing that hand bruise might keep him out of the lineup this evening. He is a beast. I love him throwing his body out there for the good of the team. That’s all you can ask for when cheering for a player.
Charlie.
