KG’s Area 21 Embarrasses Themselves With Kidd Talk

Over the last couple of years, TNT gave us Area 21 which is a former player talk show hosted by Kevin Garnett. It’s pretty good for the most part especially when they’re breaking down things inside a basketball game. They should have never touched the Jason Kidd storyline though. Listening to Kevin Garnett, former WNBA star Teresa Edwards, Eddie House (MY GOD THAT’S EDDIE’S HOUSE MUSIC!) and Rasheed Wallace put all the blame on the Bucks front office versus Kidd makes this an obsolete program. What a complete joke it was for this group to talk about Kidd and Bucks.

The biggest reason why is Garnett’s continued relationship with Kidd. KG would show up at Bucks practice now and again to help work with Giannis, Thon Maker and John Henson. It’s probable that something like this is ending for Milwaukee considering his comments last night. Rasheed is a friend of Kidd’s as they played together in New York. House never played with Kidd, but they were in the league for a good chunk of time together. All this said, these guys should have recused themselves from the topic. I get it’s a big deal right now in the NBA, but KG is no place to talk about this without any sort of bias. I think the premise of this program is ‘No B.S.’ allowed when these former athletes are spewing Grade A bullshit about the firing.
