On Tuesday, now former UCLA standout Lonzo Ball made his rounds on ESPN. Not like he would need the attention thanks to his play and his dad, but Ball continues to try to make headlines before the Final Four. Ball said He was a better prospect than Washington Huskies’ guard Markelle Fultz. That shouldn’t be something new to people. Two top NBA prospects with one of them thinking they’re better than the other. We need a Ball-Fultz rivalry in the worst way.

NBA is at a good place right now. Teams don’t really like each other like Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors who played last night. Same goes for Milwaukee Bucks against all of the Eastern Conference. We haven’t seen two players going at it with each other about who is the better player. Usually, there’s a clear number one with a great draft class, but that’s not the case this season. Ball and Fultz are so close, and it will be debated forever until we get answers. This isn’t even like Greg Oden and Kevin Durant because those two played different positions. NBA would love if these two ended up in the same conference or better yet… One with Boston and the other with Los Angeles.

This is a real possibility. I don’t think this is Bird and Magic reincarnate, but sooooo many people are going to speak to that if the lottery breaks in that sort of direction. Imagine Ball being the Los Angeles kid ending up going to Celtics and Fultz to Lakers? DraftExpress has it flipped which is probably the actual thing that will happen. Holy hell, this could be a real thing with Celtics and Lakers.
