Fourth of July weekend is the best in the city of Milwaukee. I’ve lived here for two now, and it’s been a great time for each of them. Random Sunday afternoon led to going to Summerfest outing on Sunday night to see Ludacris. I could get down with that especially because I found myself knee deep in free beers and a free ticket. What’s wrong with a little people watching on Sunday night? Ludacris put on one of the best mail-in shows I’ve seen for awhile and wondering why Summerfest even bothered with a TV host to their main side stage?

Ludacris packed the house, but he also performed like a washed rapper. Luda played his hits for a grand total of 65 minutes. Think about all of the great songs that the Atlanta rapper has and only played for an hour? That’s a robbery. There was no rhythm to the playlist either. Like it would have been sweet to have some sort of direction, but the Miller Lite Oasis performer wasn’t concerned about that at all. It would be different if he performed his ass off in those 65 minutes to make it worth it, but every song used way too much bass with Ludacris barely rapping up stage.

Glad I didn’t plan my Sunday around seeing Luda and know that the next time he’s in town, I can skip the show.
