Manu Ginobili Turns Back Time & Spurs Take Game 5
If you remember, I wrote a post about the NBA Playoffs being boring on Monday then loyal reader Charles Barkley followed that up with saying ‘These are the worst playoffs ever’ and ‘he would rather watch hockey.’ Everyone went down on the NBA, and they came back in rousing fashion in Game 5. Houston Rockets-San Antonio Spurs played a Game 5 classic where Manu Ginobili and Danny Green found a way to beat Houston without Kawhi Leonard in overtime. It ended with a major block of James Harden by Ginobili.

To date, it’s the highlight of the playoffs That’s fucking crazy to say, but that’s what happens when there are sweeps in the first two rounds by the two best teams and there are limited buzzer beaters. It’s cool to see Spurs find a way to win Game 5 without Kawhi and obviously Tony Parker. But the awkward moment is if Kawhi isn’t right for Game 6 on Thursday night, it’s bad news for San Antonio. But then again, they are the Spurs and never find a way to die.
