Not Much Changes if Marc Lasry Leaves Milwaukee

Election Day is a big one for the Milwaukee Bucks organization. Marc Lasry is a very close friend to Hilary Clinton. Lasry and his son, Alex, have gone to great lengths from a money perspective to get Clinton elected as President of the United States. Some people wonder if the Bucks owner will trade in professional basketball to a role with the White House.
Gery Woelfel throws darts at the wall with his stories, but this one could have a chance to stick. Lasry family is DEEP with the Clinton’s. This article revolved around fracking, but Huffington Post does a good job detailing the history with these two families. While Lasry had a good relationship with President Barack Obama, it’s never been to this level. It’s realistic to think Clinton puts Lasry in a diplomatic position like Obama planned to do before the Bucks owner got caught playing high-stakes poker with some Russians. If Lasry were to leave, does Milwaukee feel the pain? Not really.
My guess is Alex would stay on in a role with Bucks even though, it seems like he wants to be back in politics. He can use his Twitter account however he wants, but it’s been a Clinton mouthpiece account versus being part of the Bucks front office. Who knows though. Maybe Alex is the one that leaves and Mark stays owning the basketball team. While an offer to work for a President is a great opportunity. Lasry would like to see what he started with the Bucks new arena.
Jamie Dinan is ready to be the second big owner of Bucks. He’s not in the headlines like Wes Edens and Lasry, but Dinan has a stake in this team like the other two. He would play a bigger role if Lasry departs from Milwaukee, but it’s not like Bucks will go into a state of flux.
The Lasry family is an interesting part of the puzzle if Clinton is elected to be President of the United States. One seems destined to be on the move, the question is which one?
