It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this good about a Marquette team. 2012-2013 is likely the last time. I was fresh out of college at the time. Working part-time and staying at Mitch’s house in a bedroom shanty on Saturday nights. This year, it’s a little different. The team is entirely different. Hell, the coach is different. Marquette is a wagon. They unexpectedly shitpumped Butler last night at Hinkle Fieldhouse, and the chef’s kiss of the night was Markus Howard’s stepback three to bury Butler whilst breaking the ankles of Nate Fowler.

First thing you should do is watch the shot because it’s fucking ridiculous. Second thing, you should do is watch the bench reaction. My favorite is Joseph Chartouny who just does the Matrix move back in the seat. Brendan Bailey is equally good with a facepalm of embarrassment for Butler and anyone trying to guard Howard. What a way to cap off the night for the Golden Eagles.
