Marshall Newhouse Goes FLYING After A Fumble Recovery

Oakland-Miami was not the type of Sunday Night Football game that you make sure you’re watching every minute of. These two teams are probably not going to make the playoffs, and they’re both pretty sloppy teams. That said, we had one of the best plays in football happen in the second half. Oakland Raiders right tackle Marshall Newhouse recovered a fumble from Derek Carr and tried to run for a first down only to get wiped up by a Dolphins defender leading to a fantastic play that puts Newhouse completely in the air.

Couple things to think here as a former offensive lineman…. First, it’s a dream to get an opportunity to carry the football. You never get the chance to live the life, and when the chance opens up, you take it. That said, all of the defenders are seeing dead red. That hit was the cause of it. Same with the spear JJ Watt laid on a Cincinnati lineman earlier this season. I give Newhouse credit for trying to carry the ball and give Oakland a first down.
Let’s hope for more linemen moments this season.
Charlie.
