Matt Garza’s Excuse For Poor Outing Sucks Hard
Milwaukee Brewers jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first two innings of last night’s game, 7-6 win over St. Louis Cardinals. This was impressive considering they faced Mike Leake who has been a terror of sorts against Brewers for his career plus has been really good this season. Matt Garza could not entirely hold the lead. He gave up four runs in the second inning pulling the game within striking distance for St. Louis. After the game, Garza gave his reasoning why four runs were surrendered.
Garza also said that running from first to home in the second inning on Sogard’s double had an effect. “It drained me,” he said.

Are you fucking kidding me? He’s a professional baseball player. This isn’t adult league softball. If you can’t make it around the bases and do your job the next inning, what are you even doing? Did Garza go out and get lit up with the boys last night so running drain him? The fact a long-time professional would use this kind of Mickey Mouse excuse is garbage and so typical of Garza.
Only hope that he’s on the team for a month or two, tops.
