At the beginning of the Fresno State-Boise State game, a wild shot went over the backboard and the basketball got stuck behind the rim. It’s unlike anything you’ve seen in basketball. This is a different kind of wedgie (Shouts to The Starters), a much more elaborate version. The teams kept trying to get the ball loose with different tools around the gym. Then a father took matters into his own hands by letting his son climb up there and get the ball.

I know how that conversation went with the kid. “Dad, I can get the ball.” “Are you sure?” “Yes, Dad I’m sure, what’s the worst thing that happen?” The dad probably took a deep sigh and said something about not telling mom. Well, I have bad news for that dad because this will be national news today. Boise seems like a different kind of place though. Like some of those kids are probably chewing tobacco by age 13 and driving cars illegially before that so I’m sure nothing really is out of the ordinary here. That said, he’s going to get all the attention in school for awhile. This will be the talk of town about how little Jimmy jarred out a basket.

Boise didn’t get the win though for the home crowd as Fresno State prevailed 74-67.
