What’s with the rainouts. The MLB schedule gets two rainouts in two days throwing off the schedule a little bit. There will be three games tomorrow with Boston-Cleveland a step behind. Interested to see how the Dodgers-Nats handle the turn around time and if Cubs can get it done versus MadBum tomorrow night.

Player of the Game: Edwin Encarnacion – The Parrot man had another big game with a two-run homer in the first inning to get the scoring started then another a base knock which pushed the lead to three runs. Encarnacion continues to be a valued asset to the team, and he will get paid out of the ass this winter.

Not Manager of the Game: Jeff Banister – I realize Matt Bush pitched amazing through the first two innings, but he’s never been a long reliever so why did Banister try to make him on Sunday? They didn’t have much left in that pen, so maybe that’s the reason, but he played with fire and got burnt. I’m not putting this all on him because if Roughned Odor makes the throw or Mitch Moreland scoops it, the game is still tied.

Big Moment: 10th inning – Toronto has a thrill for the dramatics. Last year, it was Jose Bautista, this year it’s Josh Donaldson chugging his ass around third base and to home. Blue Jays are a scary team. They have a decent enough pitching staff with their big power bats. Once again, this is a loss for MLB since they can’t grab the Canadian ratings. Toronto will either begin in Cleveland or Boston.

Player of the Game: Jose Loboton – Who knows if Loboton is in this game if Wilson Ramos isn’t out with an ACL injury, but he delivered the biggest hit of the game with Washington down 2-0 and looking lifeless, Loboton hits a three-run blast. He’s not a home run hitter by any means, but Loboton delivered some big moments in the playoffs including a walk-off homer with Tampa Bay.

Not Players of the Game: Dodgers clutch bats – Los Angeles had eight times in this game where runners were in scoring position and they only connected on one of them. That’s not a good thing. This game could have been won or at least tied with one big hit in this game. Instead, Washington held Los Angeles at bay with only two runs.

Big Moment: Fifth inning: Washington had just took the 3-2 lead on the Loboton home run when Dodgers load the bases with one out only to come up empty without a single run. Yasmani Grandal strikes out and Howie Kendrick lines up leading Los Angeles to go empty when they could have tied back up.
