Moody Aaron Rodgers Is Gone, Find a New Slant

Aaron Rodgers is going through an interesting summer and offseason. Packers drafted Jordan Love in the first round this April raising questions about Rodgers’ future. Then we saw the quarterback break up with Danica Patrick midway through the summer as the year got closer to football time. Rodgers also appeared on a podcast with Kyle Brandt where he opened up about a lot of things in life. Packers’ backup quarterback Tim Boyle noticed a change in Rodgers this training camp. He is the happiest he has been and having a great time with everyone there. What changed for Rodgers who was this brooding type over the last few years? Is Rodgers learning to channel his inner Brett Favre finally?
Tim Boyle says he's never seen Aaron Rodgers happier during camp: "He's spunky, he's throwing jokes around. I think a part of it is the comfort level of the offense. He's in a great mood. We joke around 24/7 … He's been awesome to me and Jordan."

Let’s state the less silly part of this conversation: Rodgers feels comfortable in LaFleur’s offense and it might be clicking for him. If that’s the case, you need to invest in Rodgers’ MVP odds today. The Packers quarterback could feel comfortable for the first time with an offense since the mid-McCarthy years when he didn’t hate Mac. It’s been a while. That is an easy explanation about why Rodgers seems to be treating training camp more like a summer camp.
Now for the silly stuff. One, Rodgers is out of a relationship. Sometimes getting out a relationship (Personal, work, etc) can be the best thing that happens to you. The Packers quarterback might feel very free. The other part of it could be that with Love here there is a bit of a weight lifted off Rodgers’ shoulders. He knows if the next two years are shit, Green Bay will probably move on from him. Who knows maybe Rodgers feels empowered to know that this time isn’t completely counting on him past 2022.
Happy to have this Rodgers back though.
Charlie.
