Nets-Bucks Betting Preview: Under Might Be Your Best Friend

Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets get ready to open the season against each other tonight at the Fiserv Forum. It’s going to be an awesome evening in the City of Milwaukee. The Bucks will be presented their rings then the banner will hang from the arena. The fact that they’re doing it right in Brooklyn’s grill is incredible and something that we could all strive for. It’s likely the Nets are not going to be too happy when they come to town, but if you’ve watched the preseason, the Bucks seem like they’re not coasting at all. How should you bet this game if you’re a Bucks fan?
First of all, we’re fans of the Bucks. That means I will never recommend betting against Milwaukee. Never. That will not be a part of what we do here. Even if it’s a game that I don’t think the Bucks will cover. I will either tell you to stay away or find something else to bet on.
Spread
Bucks are currently favored by one and the line has fallen since it opened which was around 2.5. I don’t like it honestly. I’m not sure what to make of Brooklyn or Milwaukee at this point. Milwaukee looked great in spurts for preseason, but will the lack of bench hurt them in the first regular-season game? I was pretty confident in Milwaukee heading into it, but when the chips are down, I’m going to turtle here. My confidence for this one is around two out of five.
Total
The total is 236. This number has fallen since last week where it hovered around 239. If you got it there, great. I still think at 236 this is worth a bet. Nets-Bucks’ under are 2-7-1 against each other in their last 10 meetings. The two teams in those games averaged 109 and 107 points respectively. It’s also the first game of the season, so, there might be a little rust. I don’t expect the Bucks to be an under team this year, but this is a good time to take advantage of it.
