Nothing Wrong With Neutral Location For Badgers-Irish

Some of the worst pundits in the college football game are the ones who are hellbent on having things on campus versus a neutral location. I’m with them in some situations when it doesn’t really make sense. Notre Dame playing in San Antonio is a weird thing. But when it comes to Wisconsin-Notre Dame, it’s perfectly okay to have these games at Lambeau Field then Soldier Field. In fact, this is how Wisconsin wants it to be going forward.

Mike Heller of the Big 920 said something interesting a couple weeks ago when there was some noise about this series starting up that ‘If Wisconsin could get their players at Lambeau Field once every four years, that could be used as a major recruiting tool.’ Heller has a point, and it appears Wisconsin may be listening to him. This is an amazing way to bring high school kids to Wisconsin. If they can promise that one time in their career, a player will have a game at hallowed Lambeau Field. Even for people not in the State of Wisconsin, the stadium means a ton to athletes.
I’m excited for Wisconsin-Notre Dame series in 2020. It’s in early October which is a perfect time for football in the state. The Ryder Cup will be at Whistling Straits likely the week before this game, and there might not be a reason to leave the Northeastern corner of the state for a couple of weeks.
I will say it’s fucking weird Notre Dame will be the home team at Lambeau.
