PackCap: Not Ready to Overreact to the Pack

How much do you react to one game? Green Bay Packers lost 31-17 to Washington Redskins. A game where they were a road favorite, and one that Packers fans felt pretty confident in their team. Washington came out and ransacked them early on with 28 first half points. Green Bay made great adjustments on defense in the second half, but sadly, the countless drops played a huge factor in Green Bay not being able to put it together on offense. With three games into the season, we’re learning things about the Green Bay Packers for the good and the bad.
I’m not ready to give up on the Packers. I realize people are jumping ship, but can we all admit it was a weird fucking week. Look at all of the teams who lost to supposed mediocre teams… New England, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Green Bay then admit that maybe, we should not overreact in Week number three? Sure, there are concerning things about this Packers team, but it’s very early in the season.
The whole thing about Washington not being good needs to be debunked a little bit. People want to say ‘How did this Washington offense only score nine points versus Indianapolis?’ Well, let’s unpack that a bit. Indy gave up 20 points today to the Super Bowl champion Eagles. Maybe Indianapolis defense isn’t bad? Or the NFL is on drugs at the moment, and we need to all settle down for the next couple weeks before making assumptions?
I’m ready for the overreactions all week. Let’s do it and get wild.
