Packers End Losing Streak in Philadelphia, 27-13

God, that felt good. Green Bay Packers put their losing streak by the way side as they win 27-13 against Philadelphia Eagles to move to 5-6 and one game out of second place to Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay put together one of their best games of the year. Packers were efficient on offense with a blend of short passes along with the occasional deep ball plus the defense played one of its best games holding down Carson Wentz and company to 13 points. It’s hard not to come away from this game and believe a little more in this Packers team.
Critics will say it’s only one game. And that’s fine, let them believe that bullshit. The fact is the offense looked different. Rodgers had a clean pocket and he didn’t try to hit the big pass, rather, look for the open man every play out. This is the scary Rodgers that everyone in the league fears and I don’t know where he’s been, but he’s back. Mike McCarthy had a brand new playbook tonight, and Green Bay’s ball control offense kept the defense fresh who gained their sea legs as the game went on.
Green Bay going 1-2 on this road trip isn’t a surprise. If the Indy or Atlanta loss is flipped, Packers are right in the middle of the playoff hunt. But they aren’t dead yet and any funeral about this team should wait a couple more weeks.
