Packers Secondary’s Injuries Keep Comin’

Green Bay Packers announced Damarious Randall will miss four to six weeks with his groin injury. He had surgery on it over the weekend. Randall could be back for the Washington game in a month. Even though Randall had a tough start to the season before getting hurt, it’s a terrible loss for Green Bay as their patched together secondary goes up against an elite receiver in Atlanta’s Julio Jones. Green Bay needs to find a way to slow him down with limited parts in their defensive backfield.
To make matters worst, it doesn’t seem like Quinten Rollins will be back either for Atlanta per Ryan Wood of Packersnews.com. If Rollins returns to the field, he will not be at 100 percent. Given all the injuries, Green Bay will probably keep him off the field if he’s not fully ready to go. So where does this leave Green Bay? My guess is they will bring in a free agent corner. There are no good ones on the market, but that’s what’s going to have to be done in the time being. Julio could break his own record set against Carolina earlier this week. I do think Atlanta is more one dimensional, but Jones can win a ball game for Dirty Birds.
Charlie.
