Patriots Win Super Bowl In All-Time Comeback

Wow. It’s hard to believe what happened on Sunday night. New England Patriots came back from being down 28-3 in the third quarter to beat Atlanta Falcons in overtime and win Super Bowl LI in one of the greatest comebacks in sports history. What an amazing game. It’s hard to really grasp my head around what took place tonight in Houston. Patriots are Super Bowl champions for the fifth time in their best win to finish off a season. Tom Brady wins MVP with 466 yards of passing and two touchdowns in an all-time great performance from him as well.
What took place tonight is something we will not see again. Super Bowl 51 will be remembered as one of the best of all-time. The game itself wasn’t that good for its entirety. but the final quarter is something we see in movies. Patriots coming all the way back making two two-point conversions. Brady leading the troops down the field starting from his own 8 and doing it in two minutes with one of the greatest catches of all-time from Julian Edelman making a grab that we’ll see for the next decade.
Patriots get their sweet revenge on Goodell and take home their fifth Super Bowl trophy. They are this generation’s greatest dynasty, and nothing will say different. Sure, Seattle could have beat them if Marshawn Lynch got the ball at the one yard line. Sure, if Kyle Shanahan stopped passing the football, we’re talking about Atlanta’s first Super Bowl. Instead, we’re talking about Patriots getting their fifth title, and we’ll look to tie Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowls of all-time when they lace it up next Fall.
2016-2017 NFL season stunk out loud for the most part. There weren’t many fun games and playoffs minus Cowboys-Packers and tonight’s affair were a snooze. But Patriots-Falcons will be the one that everyone remembers, and that’s a good thing. This game couldn’t have been better, and now, we wait for another year of football.
