Per Report, Green Bay Isn’t Heading to London

In October, I’ll be heading to London with my family for 10 days at the beginning of the month. I haven’t thought yet about what happens with the blog, podcast and other things when I’m gone. I’m already looking forward to watching the Brewers playoff games at a pub at 1:00 am to dismay of my mother. A part of me hoped maybe, just maybe, Green Bay could be in London at the same time I also ended up overseas. That didn’t happen. Per reports, Green Bay will not be one of the six teams playing in England next Fall.
Per the report, the three games are as followed – Philadelphia playing Jacksonville, Seattle versus Oakland and Los Angeles Chargers versus Tennessee Titans. To be honest, these are pretty good London games. They do not have a divisional game like they did with Rams-Cardinals last year, and add some overall fan intrigue with almost every game. Eagles-Jaguars will have Carson Wentz against the Jacksonville defense. Seahawks-Raiders will give us Jon Gruden in London as well as potentially Marshawn Lynch against his old team. Chargers-Titans delivers the ultimate blessing – Phil Rivers overseas. That’s a content machine.
Now, there’s a chance that even if Green Bay played in London, it wouldn’t time up with my 10 days out in England. But a part of me at least hopes there’s a chance one of the games is being played while I’m there because it would be a cool experience to watch a game at Wembley Stadium. It’s an iconic stadium and be fun to watch some sporting event there even if it’s not Premier League Futbol.
There’s always next year, Packers fans.
Charlie.
