Randall & Dupre Make Waves At Packers Camp

I’m trying to wonder how much people care about Packers Mini-Camp. I could see it being something that we want to discuss because it’s Green Bay Packers and they rule the the local sports Internet. That said, I could see people not giving a shit about what Mike McCarthy is saying about his players in June because it’s June and he’s typically blowing smoke up all of our asses. The two players who received the highest remarks by the head coach were Damarious Randall and rookie Malachi Dupre.
Sounds like the Packers would rather keep Damarious Randall in the slot this year. "Damarious Randall has had an… https://t.co/NaimqhfWgD

McCarthy on DuPree: Definitely an accomplished WR in college. Probably has picked it up faster than any of the young perimeter players.

Starting with Randall, McCarthy liked his offseason, and it appears he will be playing a ‘Charles Woodson-like’ role for the team next season in the slot. I don’t hate this move. Randall struggled on the outside far too many times, and he’s aggressive enough inside to make big plays including deliver the lumber when he needs to. It’s good to see Randall is off to a good start in a season where many feel he can be the defensive version of Davante Adams.
Dupre is an interesting one. The fact Mac pointed that he’s catching on more than other players would indicate to me that players like Trevor Davis, Jeff Janis and others in the past were not as quick to figure out the offense. That could bode well for Dupre. He’s one of my favorite draft picks this year because we know LSU does not utilize their receivers, and Dupre had to play for shit quarterback after shit quarterback. He’s going to make this team and be a factor for the 2017 season.
