Have To Respect Zak Showalter’s Troll Game
Milwaukee Bucks are bringing all sorts of guys into workouts for the team before the NBA Draft. These players are not always guys who are going to be drafted by the team, but they look at potential summer league guys for the organization. One of those guys was Wisconsin guard Zak Showalter who worked out with the team yesterday. Showie dropped maybe one of my favorite troll moves of the year by comparing himself to Delly aka Matthew Dellavedova with the Milwaukee media after the workout.

The fact he threw out the Delly comparison is awesome. Why? Because he gets that people call him scrappy, gritty, a grinder and a real coach’s kid which are all things Dellavedova heard throughout the years. There’s nothing like a self-aware athlete.
Now, it’s a respect move by Bucks giving the local guys a look, but I can’t fathom seeing Showalter on a NBA Summer League team. There are going to be people that believe Bucks should add Wisconsin players to their G-League, formerly D-League, team because it’s in Oshkosh to drive ticket sales. If they were to add a Badger, I’d hope it be Bronson Koenig or Nigel Hayes before Showalter.
