THE RETURN OF YOUNG BUCK: Jennings Crushes Debut

When Brandon Jennings took the floor in Memphis, no one really knew what to expect out of him. He had a 10-day contract beginning tonight that would run into middle of next week. Jennings did not play basketball in the United States for an NBA team since 2015 when he tore his Achilles tendon. Jennings had a long road back, but he made it a memorable one tonight with 16 points, 12 assists and 8 rebounds. What an amazing story, and something worth being excited about for at least the time being.
16 points. 12 dimes. 8 boards.

Bucks fans cannot find happiness, therefore, when Jennings lights it up tonight, it went to ‘Well they’re only playing Memphis.’ As The Rock once said, “It doesn’t matter who they played!” Milwaukee’s margin of error is razor thin. Every game like this one versus Memphis is a must-win. He provided a great deal of spark off the bench, and he appears to ignite the team with his energy. The ability to push the ball down the court with the second unit completely changes Milwaukee. It’s scary to think about Jennings running it down the court with Jabari Parker and Sterling Brown flanked to his wings.
Best part about the Jennings revival is it could be something we see for the whole week. Milwaukee plays a pretty easy schedule for the next week with Orlando, Atlanta, Cleveland and the Clippers are all on the docket who are not great against point guards. We’ll see if the former first round can keep up the excitement for the games to come.
