Ask people around Wisconsin on Wednesday, they were probably smiling a little more than they were the day before. Aaron Rodgers returned to the Green Bay Packers officially and will play on Sunday versus Carolina. After Wednesday’s practice, Rodgers did his usual meeting with the media except there were no rah-rah speeches about ‘running the table’ or anything like that. He looked like a guy ready to deliver on three wins and play the role of a great quarterback finding the open receivers. Rodgers saw this team grow over time and knows he can only help things.

Whether Rodgers likes it or not, he’s probably the savior of this team. He is the heart and soul of this team. They go as he goes. Same could be said for some of the receivers. Rodgers made a point to talk about getting Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb the ball more which could be something to keep an eye on heading into Sunday. Rodgers doesn’t seem to be concerned about the pressure, and a part of me wonders if the first collarbone injury helped him through this process. He seems very relaxed and poised like it was business as usual today. He knows what’s ahead of him.

The return of Rodgers is a great subplot for how this season ends and what the postseason might look like if the Packers catch a few breaks.
