Scenes From Philly Give a Milwaukee Fan Hope

Currently, there are hundreds upon hundreds of Philly fans filling the streets getting ready to celebrate a Super Bowl. Parade day seems like one of the most joyous times to be a sports fan. It’s a complete euphoric moment where you don’t have to worry about the opposition, and you can celebrate just your team being successful. Excluding anyone who eats horse shit, today gives fans all over the country hope that one day it could be their team. As someone whose never seen a Milwaukee Brewers or Milwaukee Bucks championship, it’s amazing to imagine what things would be like.
The parade itself would probably go down Water Street and head to the Summerfest grounds for the post-parade celebration. That makes the most sense if you’re thinking logistically about a Milwaukee parade. I couldn’t begin to imagine how drunk the crowd would be from start to finish. I’m sure the boots would be completely full. I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating, if Milwaukee were to get their own team with a championship, the celebration would be 10 times what we saw from the Packers winning in 2010. Even though Green Bay is god to most people, there’s something about the pride of the city that resonates with so many people.
It will be fun to see Broad Street packed to the rafters with people from ages 10 to 99 in attendance. It’s very cool that school is cancelled for the day, and many business has shut down as well. That’s how you fully embrace the day and make it a complete celebration. The more involved, the merrier. Every Eagles fan will remember the Super Bowl as well as the parade. I hope someday I can say that about a Brewers or Bucks team.
