SnoTapWI Packers Preview: Miami vs. Green Bay

If you were to tell me at the beginning of the year that Miami would have two more wins than the Green Bay Packers when the two teams met in middle of November, I couldn’t believe you. Miami does have a young coaching staff, but they felt like a team a few years away from being successful plus there are still so many questions about Ryan Tannehill. That said, this is where we are with the Packers and Dolphins. But how good is Miami? They’ve had some weird wins, easy wins and some bad losses. And how good is Green Bay? That’s left to be unseen.
Will this be ‘The Game’ Green Bay needs? – Davante Adams said after the Packers loss to the Patriots that this team needs ‘one game’ to get right. This is an obvious spot. Green Bay is a 10-point favorite, and Vegas knows why. Packers do not pose a good matchup for Miami. They have a group of offensive talent that could give Miami fits. Add to the fact, it’s going to be very cold that only helps the Packers. I truly believe this could be the game where the ‘swagger’ could start appearing again.
Forcing turnovers on the Brocketship – Brock Osweiler isn’t a good quarterback. He had a great start to his Dolphins career, but it’s going downhill like that one New Found Glory song. He’s backslid the last few weeks, and it could be the time for him to implode. Mike Pettine’s blitz first scheme seems like a perfect recipe for statue-like quarterback. Osweiler will have some major issues this Sunday with the Packers defense.
Aaron Jones blowup game is happening – Dolphins are very bad stopping the run. Very, very bad. If Aaron Jones doesn’t have 20 carries, we’re doing this all wrong. Jones deserves to be fed the rock this game. He should be the focal point of the offense, and let Aaron Rodgers be the secondary piece of it. Hopefully, this happens yet I know it’s likely a pipe dream.
Prediction: I’m taking the Packers to win this one and win it pretty handily. The more I’ve looked at this, the more I like what Green Bay has from a matchup perspective against Miami. They take this one, 33-14. It’s not even close, and people are going to feel a lot better about this team.
