The Table Has Been Run & Packers Are NFC North Champs

Green Bay Packers were 4-6 at one point of this season. Aaron Rodgers met with the media before playing Philadelphia Eagles said ‘He thought the team could run the table.’ I loved the comments made by Packers quarterback. I wrote he made a ‘Jake Taylor-like prediction.’ Green Bay Packers are NFC North Champions. They defeat Detroit Lions, 31-24 and will get at least one home playoff game.
The game itself really had a Lions feel to it early on as they led 14-7 at one point. Then with 23 seconds left, Packers woke the beast up and got down the field very quickly to shorten the lead to 14-10. Packers would double-up and Aaron Rodgers started to get in that MVP-like groove we all know and love. He played so good finding his new favorite target Geronimo Allison for a ridiculous touchdown then sealed it with Davante Adams touchdown, his second of the night.
Packers are a little banged up heading into the game against New York Giants, and they’ll be facing one of the tougher defenses in the league. They’ve stymied offenses consistently plus Steve Spagnoulo has done some damage on Rodgers in the past. It’s going to be a great game. And Packers now go for their fourth Super Bowl and the talk of being the ‘hottest team in the dance.’
Run the table.
Charlie.
