Three Things We Learned From NFL Week 3

We learned Minnesota Vikings might be the realest of real deal
This is scary, guys. I believed Carolina would handle Minnesota quite easily on Sunday. It had all the makings of Carolina’s defense creating pressure, and Cam Newton doing just enough. Instead, Vikings sweltering defense held Carolina to 10 points total. Many people were getting on board with the idea that Minnesota could be really good in Week 1 or 2, and now, I’m in Week 3. It pains me to say it, but Green Bay will be neck-and-neck with them all year.
We learned the NFC East title race might be decided by two rookie quarterbacks
It’s likely the NFC East will come down to the final couple of weeks of the season, and we’ll see it all play out as national television loves the NFC East. That being said, Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott are leading their teams in almost unthinkable ways. Both rookie quarterbacks do not have a turnover yet. The quarterbacks are a combined 5-1 in the first three weeks. Not sure who I would rather have at this point. Way too early to tell, but I’m sure that’s a Skip Bayless discussion.
We learned Denver is going to contend for another Super Bowl
Look the Broncos are showing that a quarterback is really needed with this defense. They once again swarmed and suffociated one of the better quarterbacks in the league with Andy Dalton. He didn’t do anything in this game. Dalton looked pressure and rushed far too often. If healthy, Denver has playmakers all over the field. Also, it doesn’t hurt when Trevor Siemian was the man with 312 yards and four touchdowns. Remember when I thought Denver wouldn’t make the playoffs? Good times.
