Too Late to Say Sorry? The Greg Jennings Redemption Tour Begins

Greg Jennings is a guy that we’ve picked on here on SnoTapWI. Part of the reason why is Jennings has said a lot of dumb things in the past. Jennings said things that attempted to paint Aaron Rodgers in a bad light along with the Packers organization. FOX brought out the former Packers wide receiver whenever they needed a take against Rodgers or the Packers. He is the only Packers player in the past 15 years that hasn’t been brought back for any sort of alumni thing. Jennings sat down with Jason Wilde and Mark Tauscher yesterday in a very revealing interview. It appears that he wants to welcome back in Packers’ arms.
"I decided to let something out of my mouth that I could have just kept and dealt with and handled differently…That's why I would do it over again."

In this two-minute clip, Jennings talks about pure remorse about what happened in the last few years. Wilde & Tausch does a great job talking with him about all that happened since he left the Packers. Jennings felt jaded about leaving but let’s not forget that he was not worth 40 million dollars over five years. Packers rarely give a wide receiver or an offensive lineman a third contract. This hurt his feelings and until recently, he never got over it.
Now, can Jennings come back? Yes but it’s going to take some time. Aaron Rodgers is a grudge guy. We know that. My guess is Rodgers might not want Jennings around while he’s playing quarterback. But my assumption is Rodgers cannot control alumni weekend. Will Jennings be back for this season in September? Or does the healing still need more time? I tend to think of the latter more so than anything else.
Jennings will find his way back to Green Bay someway and likely be in the Packers Hall of Fame in the next decade.
