Tyler Herro Twists The Knife & Joins Kentucky
When Whitnall standout Tyler Herro chose to decommit from Wisconsin a few weeks ago, it drew the shock and ire of Badgers fans all over the country including some former Badgers like Zak Showalter and Frank Kaminsky. Herro was one of the focal points of the 2018 Wisconsin recruiting class, and he seemed ‘all-in’ regarding being part of Wisconsin’s future. Herro decided he needed a change and chose Kentucky yesterday. This cannot leave a good taste in Badgers’ fans mouth considering the ‘rivalry’ between the two programs.

If one school Badgers fans like to tweak that isn’t in the Big Ten, it’s Kentucky. Fans love to remind Big Blue Nation of ending the undefeated season in the Final Four. Not that the Herro chip will outweigh that, but it’s the latest move in the Wisconsin-Kentucky battle. Some fans will cry out foul play here, but that’s probably bullshit. Herro saw an opportunity to play at a bigger program and took advantage. Even with all of Wisconsin’s success, they are not Kentucky or any of the other college basketball blue blood where hoops means more than football.
We’ll see how Herro does in Lexington.
Charlie.
