Vlade Divac Did Not Make Things Better Today

Like any other General Manager, Vlade Divac came up to the plate today to explain why him and front office management traded Boogie Cousins for a bag of balls, most notably Buddy Hield. The former Kings great did not make things better, rather, he made things much worse proving how much of a dysfunctional mess Sacramento is. This is the start of a long rebuild with a brand new arena. That’s a tall task with a bad owner and even worse general manager.
Vlade says he had a better offer for DeMarcus Cousins two days ago.

Imagine being a fan of a team whose general manager said ‘We had better deals but settled on this one.’ This is exactly what Divac told the fan base and media today. He spoke with honesty, but sometimes, people need to keep their mouth shut when talking with media. Like Vlade, shut your fucking mouth man. He needs to make it seem like this was the best deal possible, and it needed to happen before sun rose on Monday morning. The fact they settled with four days left is mind-numbing bad.
Also, is it okay to feel bad for Hield? Like this guy is getting compared to Steph Curry by the owner, and that’s such a bad way to start things out as a Kings player. The level of expectations is so damn high. No one deserves this kind of pressure. If Hield ends up being an All-Star, great good for him, but I’m highly doubtful he’ll be good with the Kings.
Hopefully, Adam Silver pulls a Philadelphia with the team residing in California’s capital. They need it worse than Philly.
Charlie.
