Welcome To NBA’s Newest Beef: Westbrook v. Zaza

OH SHIT. Golden State Warriors pulled away from Oklahoma City Thunder in the second half for yet another big victory this week. Kevin Durant dropped 40 points, but this rivalry is just heating up. Thunder star Russell Westbrook and Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachuila are now feuding in a major way. I don’t blame Westbrook for being upset at Zaza after what took place tonight. It’s clear these teams might have the most-hated rivalry in the league.

Here’s what happened… Right before the end of the the first half, Zaza went with a double forearm shiver to Westbrook on hard foul at the middle of the court. This brought back memories to Monday night when Draymond Green had an incident with LeBron James at the same place. This one felt more intentional and with malice as Pachulia stared down Westbrook like a WWE wrestler who put someone on their ass.

After the game, Westbrook said to the media that “I’m going to get his ass back, straight up.” These two teams meet two more times before the season is over and both in Oklahoma City. Best believe Westbrook will find a way to get Zaza back for what he did tonight.
