What’s Bucks Fans’ Expectations In NBA Playoffs?

Milwaukee Bucks clinched a playoff berth over the weekend. It’s incredible to think Milwaukee will be playing playoff basketball after how this season looked like one for the draft lottery after Jabari Parker went down with an injury. Things changed in March, and that’s the difference to Bucks having a spot in the playoff. The seeding is still to be determined, but it’s looking more and more it’s the sixth seed or lower barring a collapse in the final two games by the suddenly surging Hawks. What should fans realistic expectations be?
In a way, this is the nation’s coming out party for Giannis Antetokounmpo. This will be his second postseason appearance but his first one being the man of Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis isn’t quite at the point where he can single-handily win a game in the playoffs, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like that happen. If Antetokounmpo were to lead Milwaukee into second round, he blows up on the national scene. There’s so much Giannis talk, it will fill your heart. This team will have a great deal of national attention on them this postseason, and next year when people will expect Milwaukee to take another leap.
There’s the other side to this coin about what if Milwaukee gets swept or loses in five games. Will fans see that as a disappointment? I would urge them to not think that way especially if it’s against a team like Toronto who has Milwaukee’s number regardless of how they’ve done in the postseason. I throw this word around a lot, but this is a house money thing. Bucks were seven games under 500 at the start of March, and somehow will be playing postseason basketball. Even if it’s a quick exit, we should enjoy the ride. Fans will not do this though. Hell, we had people trying to downplay what Milwaukee did in the month of fucking March. The pessimism of Bucks fans will always drive me wild.
Hopefully, Milwaukee can close the season on a high note. Charlotte, who they play tonight, is eliminated from playoff contention, so maybe they rest a few guys to maintain their 11th spot with Detroit only one game ahead. The final game of the season is a tough one with Boston back on the road although the top three seeds are still a mess. I do love Eastern Conference has to play until the final game of the season.
