WIAA Doubles Down On Being Terrible With Weak Apology

WIAA continues to be the laughingstock of the State of Wisconsin. After their incident on Saturday, WIAA issues an apology on Monday morning. They did not help themselves. Instead of saying, ‘Hey, it’s our bad, we fucked up’, they went the opposite direction and defended what Deb Hauser did on the court in one of the more absurd moves I’ve seen in some time. It’s hard to imagine there’s an athletic dissociation in the country that’s more tone deaf than what Wisconsin has currently.

My favorite thing about this apology put on Twitter is there are 145 replies basically telling the WIAA what awful people they are for denying a younger kid a hug. I get that his dad would like us not to insult these people, but that’s not going to happen. Let’s scorch the earth with WIAA. No one is going to fired, but at some point, WIAA needs to get in touch with reality and realize their practices don’t work in 2017. My hope is this is the final straw of them acting like assholes. But that’s a false sense of reality because they’ll find something else to screw up in the summer, then the fall and finally the winter again.
WIAA will be something we can look at and respect someday but it might take until my children are in high school.
Charlie.
