Wizards Are For Sale – Should the Bucks Have Interest?

Someone get Tobias Funkhe on the phone because the Washington Wizards are having a FIRE…. SALE. Washington is the league’s biggest mess of a team. Wizards were expected to be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference. Instead, they were a tire fire inside a dumpster fire that is burning throughout the months. Washington is coming a part at the seams with John Wall saying ‘Fuck you’ to Scott Brooks and leading to him getting fine. Per Woj, everyone is on the table for trades. Should Milwaukee have any interest in the Wizards? Do they have the assets to put something together?
Bradley Beal
This is an obvious name for Milwaukee. Beal is a helluva second banana and would be the perfect replacement for Khris Middleton if he were to leave in the offseason for free agency. Beal has two years left on his deal before free agency, but it comes at a heavy price tag. He makes 27 and 28 million in the next two years becoming a free agent again in 2021. The deal would probably have to feature Eric Bledsoe or Middleton, Thon Maker and one of the bad bench contracts that Bucks have. Is that enough? Probably not. They would likely need to include some picks to make it work.
Kelly Oubre
Wizards say that everyone is available, but I would be shocked if Oubre is in fact part of that plan. He’s on a rookie deal. He is a solid bench player and while it doesn’t look like he has star potential, Oubre can be a valued contributor. He is only 6’7 but can do some things on both sides of the ball. Getting another solid wing for the Bucks would only make them better.
Markieff Morris
This one is a little dicey. Remember the Morris twins have issues with Giannis. What that issue is I don’t know, but Marikeef adds a ton of toughness for this team. He would be a great stretch four that could shoot and play a little defense. Bucks may pass for chemistry reasons but do not be surprised if he ends up on a contender.
Dwight Howard and John Wall
Thank god, Jason Kidd isn’t around or else we would be sweating Dwight available in a trade. Now, that’s not a worry. Howard did play for Mike Budenholzer, but there is not a fit here with Brook Lopez. Give me Brook over Dwight any day of the week. As for Wall, he would give the Bucks a super team feel with Giannis, but he cannot be a second banana. Wall wants to be the man. He also has a shitty attitude, and I don’t think his teammates like him very much. Add that contract and no thanks.
We’ll see who ends up moving on from D.C. as it appears the tank is starting to get revved up in DC.
Charlie.
