Yelich Finds New Way To Break Out Slump With Inside-The-Park Homer

Christian Yelich has been struggling at the dish of late. We all know it. We’re all trying to help Yelich figure out what’s wrong with his swing and everything else. I’m sure he’s heard everything. Nothing is worse than telling someone when they’re in a funk, a bunch of stupid suggestions they’ve already thought about. Yelich did have a much better night at the plate with four walks and the biggest hit of the night, an inside-the-park home run. It was a solid piece of hitting from Yelich going the other way. Thanks to Eloy Jimenez playing the ball like a little leaguer, Yelich ended up with a home run.

Is this an immediate slump-buster? No, it is isn’t but you know what it is? Something went right for Yelich. Sometimes when things aren’t going your way, you need some good shit to start happening then everything starts to fall in place. If Yelich goes off this weekend against the Cincinnati Reds, we will have our answer around this being the spark plug for everything else. Good to see Yelich having fun out there last night.
