Your MLB Playoffs Rooting Guide as Brewers Fan: National League

As a Brewers fan, I feel it’s my job to tell you who to root for in the MLB Postseason. We start in the National League. Milwaukee had some success against a few of the playoff contenders. There’s no real favorite in this one.
1. Los Angeles Dodgers – Look, there’s no one in the National League really worth cheering for as a Brewer fan. Every team is a major major market with things to dislike about them. If Dodgers win the World Series, maybe they won’t need to trade for Ryan Braun. That’s the type of thinking I’m going in there. And if they don’t get far, let’s hope Yasiel Puig looks like a goddamn All-Star.
2. New York Mets – What’s wrong with seeing the Mets back again in the World Series? New York is defining scrappy right now. They are full of injuries with a bunch of no-namers on the pitching staff as well as in their lineup filling it for the likes of deGrom, Harvey, Walker, Wright, etc. There’s something fun of about watching a team with a bunch of nobodies find a way to win baseball games.
3. Washington Nationals – I’m not really big on the Nationals because I don’t like Dusty Baker. I will enjoy Baker finding a way to screw himself over in the playoffs multiple times. Daniel Murphy’s home run streak again would be kind of annoying if we’re being honest, the guy is kind of a turd. Only way the Nationals become cool to root for is if Bryce Harper goes bananas and becomes Washington’s version of Mr. October.
4. San Francisco Giants – Enough. With. The. Even. Year. Bullshit. Seriously, let’s have it end on Wednesday night so we don’t have to put up with the Giants and their fortunate luck in the postseason. They have zero back-end bullpen help which will be the determent of this team.
5. Chicago Cubs – Do I need to say much? We had a good discussion about this on the podcast. A case can be made for them becoming villains and no one think of them as losers anymore. That being said, the casual fan base would become so much obnoxious.
Charlie.
