Apparently, Bucks Gaming Team Threw a Party Despite COVID-19 Concerns
One of the things I’ve tried to do during the time of COVID-19 is not to be on Mount Pious. Why? Because we’re all hypocrites in one way or another. I had a buddy tell me that years ago, and it is a good thing for me to remember. While producing panic porn for COVID-19 brings the clicks and the attention, that was not something I would do. But when there is a story out there that could potentially be a bigger one in a few hours with little media coverage, well I have to take advantage of that opportunity. Per the Milwaukee Reddit page, the Bucks Gaming Team threw a party in the face of social distancing and COVID-19. That is a big-time yikes considering they’re publicly known.
Now, there are no other details at this time. The only thing we know from the Reddit post is that it happened around the Brewers Hill area of town. That doesn’t surprise me considering that area is jam-packed with people around the ages of 25 to 30. People complained that the noise was loud and they pulled the fire alarm at the end of the night. The only question I have to the Reddit poster is why did not call the police? If you were wound up enough to complain on Reddit, why not go straight to the Milwaukee Police Department to bust it up. They would have in the time of COVID-19.
It is hard to find additional details. Aaron Rooks is likely the person in question for the party. He had a birthday on April 18th. Looking through Rooks’ social media, there is nothing that highlights a part in question. We’ll see if anything comes of this today. Reddit is one thing, but they’re going to need hard evidence to prove this happened. Further, I don’t think anyone should be fired for this. They’re young kids who don’t understand the severity. A suspension plus taking some time to learn about COVID-19 is good enough for me.
Just add it to the list of crazy things happening in Wisconsin, it will not be the last.
