Eric Stokes Should Replace Kevin King Starting Next Week
In Mean Girls, Gretchen Weiners tells Karen Smith, ‘Stop trying to make Fetch happen.’ In Packers’ land, we could say stop trying to make Kevin King happen. Besides the disconnection from not playing preseason, the biggest thing that stood out from this debacle of a game was Kevin King is stealing money from the Packers’ organization. Like this is highway robbery. King has not improved one iota from January until now. It would make sense for the Packers to cut bait with King or demote him and start the rookie Eric Stokes. This isn’t an overreaction Monday post, this is facts.

Here’s the thing, most Packers fans would rather watch Stokes go through the trials and tribulations of a first-year cornerback than put up with King’s nonsense for another game. Stokes might struggle in a few games especially when a team has more than one talented receiver (Pittsburgh comes to mind). But at least, he is a rookie and learning on the job.
King is what he is at this point. I’m not sure if he can change himself or that he wants to change. He is a tall, soft corner that is too slow for 50% of the league. If King showed some improvement, there might be a case, but they’re just isn’t.
