Giants Beat Cowboys AKA Packers Get Zero Help

Not everything is all nice and rosy with Green Bay Packers. Every team that’s ahead of them found a way to win on Sunday afternoon and night, therefore, they need some help. New York Giants capped it off with a 10-7 victory against Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay is involved with a log jam with a few teams. You would have like to see a couple losses from the teams ahead of them, but it didn’t happen. Packers still have a path to playoffs through NFC North and it appears both Wild Card’s will be 10 win teams.
Here’s the good news…
1.) Detroit plays at New York and Dallas in the next two weeks. Lions are a better team than any of us want to believe, but Matthew Stafford with a broken finger leaves me a bit weary. Lions lose to New York or Dallas, the table is set for Green Bay to decide things in the final week.
2.) Tampa still has two tough road games as well with Dallas and New Orleans, Sure, they beat the Saints and Drew Brees looked pedestrian, yet the Superdome in a whole new ball of wax. Jameis versus Dak next Sunday night should be special. If Tampa and Green Bay both finish at 10-6, and Packers don’t win the division, they’re not in the playoffs.
3.) Washington’s tie is sneaky big thing down stretch. If Redskins happen to lose to Carolina or Chicago, they’re in rough shape. 9-6-1 will probably not get them into the playoffs. If Tampa were falter down the stretch, Packers could end up as a Wild Card.
All of this means shit if Green Bay loses a game before the season is over. And man, this would have been a lot easier if Packers would have been Atlanta or Indianapolis.
