Yes, that is a real headline. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the President of the United States Donald Trump received an invite to attend Packers Shareholders meeting to discuss the national anthem and the player protests. Packers rebuked this certain shareholder from speaking about the anthem, so, he took a step further and gave four tickets to President Trump. There are bigger fish to fry than heading to Green Bay, but you have to imagine the Packers’ brass were clenching their buttholes a little bit. Here’s comments from the inviter via MJS

“I think he (Trump) was instrumental in a good way or a bad way in making this come to a head,” he said of the president. “I think it might have died out, to tell you the truth. I wish he would have handled it in a more gracious way.”

This anthem issue is not going away anytime soon, sadly. We had the Miami Dolphins come out yesterday and make a comment that anyone would be suspended if they protested the anthem. This drew complete ire from many people all over the map, and it’s led to the NFL/NFLPA having a joint statement about a truce regarding the anthem. It’s crazy to me that this is still an issue. Roger Goodell has been so bad through all of this and he perpetually takes L’s in the process of this whole thing. It’s terrible.
