Everyone reads movie reviews of movies that are out in theaters. We read about movies we want to see, and movies we don’t want to see. Well, are there ever movies that slip through the cracks? Like ones you have intended to see but never got around to it? I hope to help here with different movies I’ve watched in the past couple weeks on premium cable (Yeah, I got the movie channels. Softcore porn for dayssssssssss). Let’s roll.

Spy: This stars Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham and that minx Rose Bryne. This movie is pretty garbage for the first 40 minutes as it takes quite a bit of time to develop into a movie. Once it does, it’s pretty funny. Worth your time? Yes but only if you don’t have much to do.

About Alex: This stars Aubrey Plaza, Max Greenfield (Schmidt from New Girl) and Nate Parker – If you want to be depressed about your life for 90 minutes, this movie is for you. Worth your time: Only if you need a good cry.

Wall Street: This movie is from the mid-80’s, but it leads to a couple questions – If Wolf of Wall Street wasn’t made, is this movie an obvious remake? Seriously, watch this movie and you can see where Jordan Belfort got his ideas. Second, Charlie Sheen was a legit movie star until the mid-90’s. This movie still holds up even with the old computers. Gordon Gecko could have ran for president in 2016. Worth your time: Yes, it’s an 80’s classic and it’s still worth two hours.

The Place Beyond The Pines: Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper star in this one. It’s one of the weirder movies I’ve seen in awhile. It’s very good. This movie is split up into three different short films that all come together at the end. Worth your time: Yes.
