Green Bay Packers needed a win on Monday night in Philadelphia. If Packers lost Monday’s game, they would be 4-7 and the season would be practically over. And now that they’ve won, Packers are right back into the mix with the NFC North race and the NFC Wild Card. December is a big stretch, and Green Bay played their best football in the past in the final month of the season.

Aaron Rodgers: Let’s start with this tweet from Barstool Sports Dan Katz…

That couldn’t be more true. Rodgers looked like a man on a mission. This was the guy we all thought would come out against Tennessee or Washington. Some could make the argument that he’s been really good this season, and if Green Bay runs the table, there will be some MVP chatter. Philadelphia had no answer for Rodgers especially on third down. This looked like a man possessed out there. Rodgers finished with 313 yards on 30 completions only missed nine passers and two touchdowns. Rodgers played fantastic.

Davante Adams: Redemption for Adams this season. He goes from a zero to a potential Pro Bowl wide receiver. Philly corners had no answers for Adams on the outside. He had 113 yards on five catches with two touchdowns. Adams came up with big catch after big catch in this game. He’s proving everyone wrong this season, and it’s a joy to see. I had a feeling this might happened and sure enough, Adams came through this season for Green Bay. He’s a threat for every upcoming opposing team.

Jason Spriggs: Once again, Green Bay finds themselves in a great position with their offensive lineman. Jason Spriggs looked great at right guard containing Fletcher Cox for the whole game. Spriggs handled himself well in his first career NFL start. He has a future with this team at tackle, but it does seem like Packers are set with offensive linemen when if more injuries happen down the stretch.

FOUR STARS
David Bakhtiari: Another offensive lineman who had a huge game for Packers. Jim Schwartz runs a blitzing style defense where he uses edge rushers to come at a consistent basis, and Bakhtiari set the edge all game long. Philadelphia Eagles had 26 sacks on the season, and they still have 26 heading into month of December. Hope Rodgers buys these guys dinner before next week’s game. They deserve it.

Damarious Randall: Once the second-year corner got into the flow of the game, Randall started to flourish out there. He played the edge pretty well as Carson Wentz did nothing down the field in the second half. What’s really puzzling about Philadelphia’s offense is they didn’t try to throw it deep with Jordan Matthews or Dorial Green-Beckham? I’m sure it wasn’t the Randall effect, but he played well in this game. Next week is a big test with Nuke Hopkins.

THREE STARS
Julius Peppers: An up and down game for the veteran edge rusher. He had four quarterback pressures in this game and found his way to the quarterback on a couple occasions. Peppers still struggled with contain letting Darren Sproles run all over the field in check down situations. Hopefully, Peppers is saving his best for the final month of the season.

TWO STARS
James Starks: Green Bay needs more from their running back. He played decent with 47 yards on the ground and 27 receiving yards, yet Packers need more from their running game. There’s no problem trying out different running backs, but at some point, a player needs to stabilize the running attack. Christine Michael should be getting more carries next week.

ONE STAR
Mike McCarthy’s timeout – If Mike McCarthy didn’t call timeout with 1:48 left, Packers win this game, 27-10. McCarthy called the timeout in hopes Packers would get the ball back with time to score again. He has to stop doing this with his current team. McCarthy does not have a reliable defense who can make a stop, therefore, he needs to let the clock run out in the first half and not give the opposing offense more chances.
