Wisconsin Badgers return to Camp Randall with a packed house for the first time since November 23rd, 2019. That game featured Wisconsin beating Purdue, 45-24, in an easy win for Wisconsin as they got ready for a showdown with Minnesota. Now, Camp Randall is back in action with a full stadium plus a good Badgers team. Graham Mertz leads Wisconsin against Penn State in a battle of two teams looking to establish themselves early with big matchups in September. Jake Ferguson set the stage with this awesome hype video to get everyone ready for the first full stadium experience in nearly two years.

With the Green Bay Packers, they were able to start letting fans in later in the year as COVID-19 lessened and people started to get vaccinated. Wisconsin never had that luxury thanks to the Big 10’s tight rules around everything. To think that the Big 10 at this time last year wasn’t going to have football is amazing to me. Could you imagine a year without Big Ten football? Or any of the conferences really. Yes, it was a nightmare to play the season but they got it done. You do have to wonder if that affected some of their play. Wisconsin was a young team who got too much hype early on, but the lack of fans had to play a slight issue, right?

Hopefully, we never see a team play in an empty stadium or arena again
