It has been a hell of a weekend. We had all of the drama around the NFL Draft. The weather in Milwaukee and Wisconsin was nice. Golf started back up too. All sports fans got to end their weekend as we did last week with ‘The Last Dance’, the incredible Michael Jordan documentary. It is honestly one of the best things I’ve watched, and we’re not even halfway through. As the documentary is ending, my beloved Packers get hit with a straight-up ricochet shot as the 98′ Bulls are recapping the Super Bowl. That was not needed to end the weekend, fellas.

For those who didn’t know, the NFC had the longest Super Bowl winning streak, earning victories in 13 straight between 1985 and 1997 until the Denver Broncos beat the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII #TheLastDance

Jordan bet the Broncos because of course, he did. It made sense too. I’m willing to assume that Jordan took the ML which was sky-high considering the Broncos were 13.5 point underdogs in that game. Of course, Jordan rides with the risky underdog against the defending Super Bowl champion. That is exactly what a gambler would do in that situation. They’re not taking the heavy favorite, they’re riding with the dog. While MJ is the man, I’m disappointed to learn he was on the other side of the first sporting event that made me cry.

Other quick thoughts about The Last Dance from Sunday: Dennis Rodman would not survive the social media era. I always thought Favre would have the hardest time, but it’s Rodman. Bulls-Pistons is a great rivalry, and not to be a boomer, but, sadly, we have player rivalries more than team rivalries these days in the NBA. A podcast on Rodman’s Vegas trip would be awesome. Carmen Electra still throws 99.
