All In On Bakhtiari’s Championship Belt Plan

Green Bay Packers have a noticeable swagger about them out the gates this training camp. They’re usually a quiet bunch who might have a few moments here and there, but it feels like this year, they’ve came out with a bravado. We can go down rabbit holes trying to explain it, but maybe, it’s simply they’re a lot of characters who are all showing their personality. Take David Bakhtiari for example who brought a championship belt to practice for offensive-defensive drill, and the winner that day took home the belt.
This invoked some friendly fire from Mike Daniels who loved the idea. This is the type of shit that’s been missing in Green Bay for the last five years. These guys are having fun out there while also challenging themselves to be better. A championship belt isn’t going to decide the season, but it might ensure that training camp is better for both offensive and defensive linemen. Championship belt can bring a team together though in wanting to protect something each day at camp. Bakhtiari is quietly becoming a leader on this team even though he carries a Hollywood-style attitude about him.
It’s hard to explain how good I feel about this Packers season. I try not to let this type of thing happen, but it feels like everyone is hungry for a championship. Start with Aaron Rodgers, end with Herb Waters. All of these guys want to wear a belt in Minneapolis come February.
