Big Fan of The Davante Adams-Jumpman Partnership

Yesterday, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams made a bit of news. He would be joining the Jordan brand as an NFL sponsor. To me, Jordan brand sponsorship is one of the more elite things to be asked to do. Jordan’s brand does not let anyone become a sponsor. You usually have to be on the level of Michel Jordan to rep his brand. Adams becomes the first Packers player since Charles Woodson to be part of Team Jordan. He joins the non-basketball likes of C.C. Sabathia, Denny Hamlin, Earl Thomas, and David Price.
"Now, we've made the dream come true."

It is unknown whether Adams will have his shoe with the Jumpman team. I would guess that is unlikely at this moment. What the Jumpman brand has been doing recently is taking popular Jordan basketball shoe designs and turning them into cleats. We saw it with Keegan Bradley in golf, and we’ve seen it around in the NFL. That is sort of their brand model at this point. But who knows? Adams could reach that threshold of being more popular and could be a star for the brand.
