Milwaukee Bucks faced a tough week. They have three games this week against potential playoff opponents. The first up was a surprising Detroit team. They won five of their last six games heading into the matchup with the Bucks, therefore, you could imagine that the Pistons wanted to establish themselves as a team who could win the Central Division. Bucks made sure that didn’t happen. After playing meh basketball for the last two weeks, we saw a great version of the Bucks on Wednesday night with a huge 115-92. This is one of the bigger blowouts Milwaukee had this season.

Player of the Game: Eric Bledsoe – Giannis had the highlight of the night, but the Bledshow was the star in my eyes. Khris Middleton did not play for personal reasons, and Bledsoe took over as the second guy on the team. Bledsoe finished with 27 points. This is his second straight game with his season high of 27 points. He did it mostly within the three-point arc attacking the basket from the tipoff.

Silver Star: Sterling Brown – First time for Sterling Brown on the recap posts, but he deserves it. Bucks were in limbo of letting this become a game again in the third quarter. Pistons trailed by 15 then Brown hit back-to-back corner threes which took the will out of Detroit. It’s good to see Brown take advantage of some extra run with Middleton being out. He scored 11 points in 19 minutes.

Positive: Hammer down from the start – For the last couple weeks, we’ve seen Milwaukee get off to slow start after slow start, and finally, they were able to string together four solid quarters. Part of that was due to Bledsoe being aggressive early on and establishing that Milwaukee could do it without Giannis being the star of the show. They never looked back from being up nine to start the second quarter, and that’s an encouraging sign for Milwaukee moving forward this season.

Negative: Threes weren’t falling as much – This is a minor complaint. Like very much a small potatoes negative because the Bucks played really well. They did it without Giannis having 20 points (First time that’s happened all season), no Khris Middleton and still won by 23 points. They only made 14 threes out of 31 attempts for a 35 percent clip. Not the best, not the worst.

Highlight of the Night: Giannis dunks all over Blake

Next up: Bucks stay home to face off against the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors on Friday night. Bucks-Warriors are a weird rivalry because the teams don’t really like each other yet they only play twice of year. Crowd should be on fire with the game starting at 8:30 on a Friday night.
