Chicago Bears Carry Unhealthy Adrian Amos Obsession
The great Mariah Carey has a song titled ‘Obsessed’, and in that song, she has a line that says ‘Why are you so obsessed with me.’ The same could be said with Chicago Bears fans when it comes to Adrian Amos, former Chicago Bears player now Green Bay Packer. Bears front office people and their fans are going out of their way to tell the traditional and social media about how good Clinton-Dix is compared to Amos. It’s very weird. Almost like the team wants to incept people’s brains that Amos wasn’t very good last season. Here’s a sampling of the weirdness on Twitter.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix vs Adrian Amos from 2018:

73 total tacklesGB fans need to accept the truth. The Bears got the better guy, & Ha Ha is paired up with Eddie MF Jackson which will make Ha HA even better.

Director of Player Personnel Josh Lucas on HaHa Clinton-Dix:
"We have consistently graded HaHa better than Amos" #Bears #Bears100— Dan DeYoung (@DanDeYoung80) June 9, 2019
Ever since they’ve signed Ha Ha, Bears fans, media and now the team have been trying too hard to tell everyone how much better he is than Amos. I’ve never seen anything like it. The lady doth protest too much, me thinks.

Here’s the thing, I don’t want to piss on Bears’ fans parade. This is not driven by Packers’ fans. We are not the ones who are beating our chests about Amos being on this team. It feels like Chicago is trying to tell their fans that they will not lose much replacing Amos with Clinton-Dix. Packers fans know the harsh reality of this with their former first-round draft pick. He takes horrible angles, makes ‘business decisions’ aka avoids tackles, and only becomes a playmaker every now and again. We all know the truth. Put in this way, Washington Redskins’ front office loves Alabama defensive players. But the team wanted absolutely nothing to do with Clinton-Dix after trading for him, what does that tell you?
The best thing about this whole Amos-Clinton-Dix rivalry that the Bears cooked up is we’ll see on the field on the first day of the NFL season. I’m sure there will be some type of spin zone when Bears fans see Ha Ha getting lit up like a goddamn Christmas tree by Aaron Rodgers and company.
