Getting Rid of Angel Hernandez Is Only Right Thing Baseball is Doing

Major League Baseball is going through a rough couple of months. They’re fighting out in the media and can refuse to come to any sort of agreement on a season. It is ugly stuff. But one thing that baseball is doing right, maybe, the only thing, is investigating Angel Hernandez, famed bad Major League Baseball umpire. What baseball has found is that this guy is truly a bad umpire and a complete egomaniac. It is hard to see Hernandez being an MLB umpire when the season starts again. The number of infractions are staggering.
MLB going after Angel Hernandez.
I guess they're on the same page as the fans, which is the page that says Hernandez stinks at his job. https://t.co/NBXC54qaZs pic.twitter.com/O31k4rSbSC

I looked to see if I had any examples of the Brewers dealing with Hernandez, and you bet I found one easily. Here is a game from 2018 where the Brewers have a 1-0 lead in the ninth inning. Corey Knebel dials in a beautiful pitch right on the inside corner to strikeout Jake Lamb. Instead. Hernandez calls it a ball. Brian Anderson, who is usually the consummate professional, lets out a ‘c’mon now’ then it leads to a great rant by Bill Schroder. Brewers dealt with Hernandez on multiple occasions, and every time he was behind the catcher, everyone held their breath that he didn’t screw anything up.
It is good to see Hernandez will be gone from the game if baseball gets going again in 2020.
